The holidays have started! Which means....
DVD marathon!I've already started with
Escape from Huang Shi
... followed by
An Empress and her Warriors.
I know, weird choice of movies but Escape from Huang Shi was pretty good. It's a true story about a British guy who sneaked into China when China was conquered by Japan. It showed how cruel the Japanese were and how the British guy ended up helping 60 orphans shift to a safer place along the Silk Road. What the Japanese soldiers did to the Chinese were horrible, one of it was making all of them line up in a row and the soldiers would shoot all of them to death.
An Empress and her Warriors was alright I guess. I would've enjoyed watching it more if the damn subtitles were correct. For those of you who know mandarin, the words being said was 'fei er' which is actually the name of the child but the subtitles were literally translating word for word resulting in...
fei=flying
er=son
fei+er=flying sonThe subtitles were translating like that throughout the whole movie so you can imagine how screwed up my understanding was.
Then I watched
Over Her Dead Body
And now I'm watching
Cleaner
So I basically spent my day watching DVDs :)
Yesterday was Math Olympiad, PA performance and Prize Giving Ceremony. Harimau got 2nd for Math Olympiad which Quang didn't like very much but he won best participant. I'm so proud of you baby :)
After school I had Cambridge lessons and I got 27/30 for my essay! I can't believe it but I did! :D I really hope I'll be able to produce and essay that good on the day itself coz then it'll help pull my marks up.
Daddy and I went to Oriental Pavilion in PJ to meet up with Gee ee, Gee tiao, Lisa and Mummy for dinner. So much for worrying about not going shopping..... My mummy got me a Kipling handbag, Burberry perfume and Body Shop products! :D

I love the box :)
Later on that night I watched
The Covenant.
Quang said that it was a cool movie so I thought it'll be something like Jumper but how wrong I was. It was nothing like Jumper, it was scary and what made it worse was that I watched it at 12 midnight.
I woke up at 2 today, looks like I'm back to my old self. Thank god :)
I'm having lunch at Shang with Yuen tomorrow and maybe this time I'll come back with pictures :)
I gave my all for you and now my heart's in two...
